Monterrey land transportation

You may also arrive by bus or car. 

There is an important highway network which quickly connects you with other States in the North of Mexico and the South East of the US.

Federal Highway 85 runs through the State of Nuevo Leon from Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas passing through Monterrey and connecting with the I-35 that starts in Laredo and goes north to San Antonio and further up. 

Federal Highway 40 runs through the State of Nuevo Leon, from Saltillo to Reynosa, passing through Monterrey and connecting with the McAllen – Brownsville 83 Texas highway. 

Federal Highway 53 goes from Monterrey to Miguel Alemán and connects with the 83 from Rome to Brownsville or Laredo, Texas. 

Federal Highway 53 runs from Monterrey to Monclova, Coahuila. 

State highway 1 goes from Downtown Monterrey to the border town of Colombia, in the Municipality of Anahuac, Nuevo León, and connects with the I–35 Interstate Highway in the Laredo, Texas.
